The other day I was wondering which song I was going to be working on next, to be part of the “BUILDNG BRDGES” musical project, and out of nowhere this next song poured out. I know that I was being directed to share this because it wasn’t anything that I was working on or even had in mind to work on! I am always so amazed at how The HOLY SPIRIT is continually reminding us and convicting us of truth and the things of GOD. HE is ALWAYS LEADING US TOWARDS CHRIST, amen. Even when we haven’t a clue, HIS work is always in progress, HIS shaping, leading, guiding, directing and moulding us is a constant. HIS nudges, HIS enabling of our capacity to learn and grow in all things that lead us to a deeper and fuller knowledge of JESUS CHRIST. HE IS OUR COMFORTER, the VERY LIVING SPIRIT OF GOD ALMIGHTY, AND THE THIRD PART OF THE GOD HEAD, sent by JESUS CHRIST, OUR RISEN LORD GOD KING, to navigate us through the treacherous waters of this lifetime, eventually leading us back home.
WHAT A FRIEND WE HAVE IN JESUS – Christian hymn originally written by Joseph M. Scriven as a poem in 1855 to comfort his mother who was living in Ireland while he was in Canada. He could not go to be with her, so he wrote a letter of comfort and enclosed one of his poems entitled What a Friend We Have in Jesus.
I felt led to infuse a few parts of that original hymn, and blend them with another set of lyrics that reinforce – why IT IS SO IMPORTANT, AND SO VERY NECCESARY to use this open line of communication that we have unfathomably been given. Think about it… WE CAN GO DIRECTLY TO GOD IN PRAYER without limitations… No time restraints, no limited amounts of anything.. (WE CAN AND SHOULD BE) – USING THIS PRAYER LINE ~ ALL THE TIME! IT IS BEYOND OUR ABILTY TO REASON, THE PRICELESS GIFT THIS IS… The ability to speak DIRECTLY with ALL MIGHTY GOD through JESUS CHRIST, is beyond words. Another testimony that makes witness to THE INCREDIABLE, UNDENIABLE, UNFATHOMABLE CHARACTER OF GOD, amen.
We serve such an AWESOME GOD, and what a PRIVILEGE we have been given to reach out to HIM, as HE REACHES BACK TO US.
