daily bread

Your springs of Living Water ~ wash over me, they wash over me – they lead me on

You ARE my hope, You’re ALL my dreams ~ You’re everything that holds my life together –

The Word of God ~ is the nourishment for our soul, for our inner self, that we cannot successfully live without, amen..

All Scripture is GOD-BREATHED

2 Timothy 3:16  16 All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness,

In other words,All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right.”

The Word of God is a Direct connection to our CREATOR

and direct insight into HIS Will for our lives, amen…

John 1: 1-5   In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. 4 In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. 5 The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.

The Word of LifeThe Word of God is spirit and life (John 6:63); it is living and active         (Hebrews 4:12) and, made alive in us by the Holy Spirit, has dynamic power to impart spiritual life to us.

John 6:35

Jesus replied, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never be hungry again. Whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.

So again, let us repeat –

The Word of God is a Direct connection to our CREATOR

and direct insight into HIS Will for our lives, amen…

Psalm 119:105

Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.

Imagine for a moment, you would suddenly find yourself adrift out in the middle of the ocean. You are by yourself on a vessel – that you have no experience with or sailing for that matter. There are all the necessary items on board for you to use but they are very foreign to you. You also notice a darkening sky on the horizon and the waves seem to be growing larger, certainly some feelings of despair would be starting to grow inside of you…

Now imagine that again, with complete instruction on everything that you will need to know,  in order to sail this vessel, survive the impending storm and arrive safely to a future destination.

Welcome to the immeasurable value of the Word of God in our lives…

We are alive and active  and so  we certainly need an alive and active word of God to feed and guide us,  amen…

Hebrews 4:12

For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.

Just like with our physical bodies that need nourishment in order to sustain life; our Spiritual self – needs nourishment in order to thrive and grow.

Psalm 119:103

How sweet your words taste to me; they are sweeter than honey.

Psalm 19:10

The words of the LORD are flawless, like silver refined in a furnace, like gold purified sevenfold.

Isaiah 58:11

The LORD will always guide you; He will satisfy you in a sun-scorched land and strengthen your frame. You will be like a well-watered garden, like a spring whose waters never fail.

John 4:14

But those who drink the water I give  will never be thirsty again. It becomes a fresh, bubbling spring within them, giving them eternal life.”

John 7:38

Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them.”

As the Apostle Paul addresses to the Thessalonians, the Christian community he had founded in Thessalonica (now in northern Greece). In 1 Thessalonians 2:13, he explicitly reminds them and us ~ that the Word of God is ACTUALLY the Word of God. And that it is God who has spoken – speaks to us every time we read the Word, hear the Word read, or hear it.

1 Thessalonians 2:13

And we also thank God continually because, when you received the word of God, which you heard from us, you accepted it not as a human word, but as it actually is, the word of God, which is indeed at work in you who believe.

Thank You Father for Your Holy Word. Please help us to receive it – in all of it’s depths and wonders – and to fully embrace the miracle working truth – that has been gifted directly from You to us.

We Love You and may we Honor You – as we abide in Your Holy Word, In Jesus’ Name we pray  ~  amen.
